Today is Halloween!

Despite living in a sleepy little seaside town in Australia where people aren’t too big on celebrating Halloween, I’ve actually been quite into it this year. I’ve spent the past couple of weeks preparing a costume, and am off to a party to celebrate tonight. I can’t wait actually! I’ve got a Halloween phone hanger on my nokia, and am listening to Halloween-ish music as I type this.
I’d quite like to be somewhere that celebrated properly… I wish I was in Hobart, as the anime society people down there are having a party and I just know it’d be fun.
It’s been a good day.
It’s strange… It feels just like Summer and has done all day. Despite being kind of overcast this morning it’s been really hot. I’m not too keen on Summer itself – hot day after hot day wears me down and makes me sick – but this has been nice. If there was like a random day every two months that was hot and the rest of the time was just that weather you get on the cusp of Winter and Spring, that’d be, like… beyond words awesome.

I wrote up a journal about a week ago that I didn’t post because it was full of emo and stupid… But next year I may be moving to Hobart. That’s the general idea! This town inspires nothing but wishing I could be somewhere else. And the people I want to hang out with are all in Hobart, so… XD;; I want more opportunities/excuses to cosplay.

Things have actually started to pick up a little bit! (At long last… )
I couldn’t be happier, because things have been so damn boring in this tiny town of late. It’s pretty much birthday season among my friends, most of them have their birthday days over the course of September and October, so it’s been present buying and small parties all about the place. It’s good. I need to spend more time with my wonderful friends… I miss them too much otherwise.

After that thirty hour week at work, my job has gone back to minimum shifts, mostly because they’ve just put a new girl on, but I don’t mind all that much atm as I know things will pick up soon. People are going on holidays and leaving, so hopefully the 30 hour week can be a regular occurance!! It would be made of win to be pulling in that amount of money every week… Really, it would. I might actually be good at saving, that way!

The American kids I babysit have recently acquired a new dog and I met him last night for the first time… I have to say… Dogs are suddenly starting to really grow on me! He’s a golden retriever poodle cross, golden fur, very, very cute. He’s only a baby still so he’s pretty hyperactive, but he’s so cute and soft and fluffy that you just can’t help but adore him. Also, I have plans to get a dog when I finally wind up living in Korea. I want a white teacup Pomeranian which I’m going to name Bokshiri (it means fluffy in Korean). I plan to get a cat at the same time and name it BimBim so they wind up team BokBok and BimBim. XD;; *has thought waaaay too much about this!*

In other news, The Ai-Con Northern Exposure Theme Launch is happening next weekend, which means a night away in a gorgeous hotel and an excuse to cosplay!!
I cannot wait to see everyone again. I wish it was Ai-con again already! But yes, at the moment, I’m planning to cosplay Misa Misa both days, so expect some pictures. I’ve got one outfit sorted already which I’m exceedingly happy with (like… happier than any other cosplay I’ve ever done, and that’s including my Mello one) but I’ve still got to sort the other one out. I have so many clothes that I get disorientated after a little while and don’t know what’s in Misa’s style and what’s just stuff I like lol. It’s kind of sad. I need new clothes… I’m thinking of buying from this [link] website, because it is made of win and awesome, but I’m a little reluctant to buy online without actually being able to try shit on… Ah, well, I should be saving anyway, so I might leave it a while. I must make food for these cosplay picnics!! But I’m at a loss for what to bake/buy… Some big ass gothloli decorated cake? Signed by Misa? XD;; I’m joking.

Ah! I almost forgot! A massive, MASSIVE thank you to all my watchers and just the random that visit my page. Because… I’ve just passed 16,000 pageviews. So happy omo. I never imagined I’d get so many! Hopefully I’ll get more after this weekend, because I’m planning to make Misa cosplaying a much more regular thing. She’s really, really grown on me all of a sudden… I used to hate her because she got in the way of Light getting gay with, well, everyone, but I’ve come around… She’s so cute… And even though Light just uses her and she did kind of make a bit of a mess of things at the start there, she’s just a kid, you know, and she’s not famous for being smart, is she? So yes. I shall be getting a better wig soon and putting together numerous Misa outfits. I like that you can go a little crazy with clothes, just as long as they’re in her style, you know? I will be getting that cute Goth loli dress she has happening when she first meets Light together though. Because I saw a necklace that would be perfect for it. Cha… Well… I better go!

I actually have a reason for being so slack with my updates lately! I’ve had over 30 hours of work over the past week and our computer was off having repairs it didn’t need by very slack I.T. people who took much longer than they should have.
Work, omo… So exhausted!! I’m very thankful because I will have a lot of money this week – most of which I have to put away and save for Korea!! – and will be able to get my new shoes, and birthday presents for my friends. Joint birthday party this week… I plan to be dignified.

Nothing has been happening lately… Literally nothing. I’ve been working and that really is it. Many of my friends are still away, so yeah… I feel quite sad sometimes, because I miss them all so much, and I miss the way we used to just hang out every day, but it’s made much better by the friends I still have, and the new friends I’m making through work. I wish I had someone I could just see all the time. Zoe’s often in Hobart or busy working, Eri has uni and work and is often with her partner, Amy’s in Seattle, Jessie’s in London, Zach’s on the mainland… I need to make more of an effort to catch up with Steph and Kathleen… And perhaps make the effort to get down to Hobart more often!

I have cosplay stuff planned out for next year’s AI-Con, and shall start putting things together soon (as cost effectively as I can, because I really have to start making an effort to save!) but it’s going to be Ritsuka Aoyagi on day 1 and a pink/blue decora outfit for day 2. Rei Ayanami may have to wait a while, but I’m still going to do her. Maybe I’ll even attempt her plug suit. ^w^ *only half joking*

Certain things are quite annoying lately… Mainly the wind that is sweeping through my town today, there are trees and such coming down everywhere, but at least my cat is having fun running around playing with the leaves outside. Also, people who come into work and just GET IN THE WAY because all they do is stand right where I have to put the dockets or just walk really slowly around the only way out from behind the bar. And don’t even move when I say ‘excuse me’. Idiot woman. So annoying. I really dislike stupid people. People that walk out on the road without even looking and get all surprised when they see there is actually a car there. People who stop in the middle of the footpath. People who stand in doorways. I dislike people who don’t take other people into consideration. /end rant.

All I can listen to is Dong Bang Shin Ki… I’ve regressed into YunJae fangirl mode and it’s making me so upset because we won’t be seeing any YunJae for another month and a bit at the very least. I’m proud of Jaejoong for taking SM to court over their shockingly low cut of their profits, but I wish SM would just agree to give them a bigger cut and leave it at that. I mean, Lee Soo Man is a genius, but god, he can be an ass. Poor Yunho. It must be so difficult to watch this discord in his formerly happy little family. I hope he and Jaejoong are still enjoying a happy relationship. Don’t anyone get angry at me. Even if you see their relationship as a close friendship, just think of it that way. They’re so beautiful together. Soul mates, you know? The real definition of it. I haven’t seen any other male Korean celebrities act the way they do around each other. That hug. Omo. Fighting, oppas. Please. We’re all keeping the faith.

I think after Korea, I want to go to Japan for a bit. We’ll see how much money I have left, but really… It’d be nice. Maybe China too. It’s all I can think about… I want to live in Korea with my husband and kids and take them to Japan and China for holidays. It would be really nice. I wish it was now.

Aish… Getting all deep and emo here! I need to listen to happier music, I think! Well, it’s probably time I made some lunch and got Amy unnie’s birthday things ready to send.

Okay! I promised a more substantial journal entry, so here it is.

My new job is going really well, but unfortunately I’ve been quite unwell lately and have to take a couple of days off. I had a really high fever the other night and have been feeling run down and generally exhausted by nothing ever since. It’s not exactly fun. Yay for losing weight and not being able to eat heaps though. If I want to get a nice Korean boy, I’m gonna do my best to at least resemble the girls over there at least a little bit.

Seeing as how everyone else in the world is doing it, have a Heartbreaker review.

I’ve been stoked about this ever seeing the concept pictures in which G.D. went blonde. It suits him more than I could have ever imagined. My friend :little-known-facticon: kindly sent me a few links, and I’ve got his wonderful album!
So…

1. 소년이여 – I wasn’t too sure about the falsetto in this track when I first heard it, but I’ve grown to really like it. It’s very G-Dragon and a good way to start off the album. The music is really cool. It’s not a stand out or anything, but still a good listen.

2. Heartbreaker – Easily the best track on the album. Like, I have literally not heard anything this catchy since… well, some could argue Flo Rida’s ‘Right Round’, but I beg to differ. This song is so G.D. that it hurts. He’s been this electro pop baby all these years, just longing to bust out from behind his hip hop band. The mv to this song is like a trip (pun intended) into G.D.’s mind, and I love it. Legendary. Up there with Sorry Sorry, Wrong Number and It’s You as some of the best shit I’ve ever heard in the kpop world.

3. Breathe – Omo… When I saw the teaser for this song on the end of the Heartbreaker mv, I knew I was going to love it. Turns out I was right. I’ve read a lot of comments saying it has a ‘European’ sound, and I get where they’re coming from. It’s totally fresh, cool, and I can’t wait for the release of the full mv. G.D. arching up from a bed any day please!! Love it.

4. 1년 정거장 – This is my least favourite song on the album. Sorry to those of you who like it, but it just isn’t growing on me. It sticks out from the rest of the songs, and I generally just skip it. Not catchy, not smooth… Mm. Sorry, G.D., baby.

5. Hello (feat. Dara) – Hell yes. Cute, catchy, fresh. This is exactly the sound that I love from this album. Dara’s voice contrasts so nicely to G.D.’s and the whole thing just works. I like that G.D. thinks he’s so smooth with the ladies. There’s not a whole lot else to say about this song, it’s just good.

6. Butterfly (feat. Jin Jung) – If someone had said something to me about G.D. going acoustic before this album, I doubt I would have believed them, but this song is just so beautiful… It makes me smile. I wonder who G.D. had in mind when he wrote this, cause it’s just so pretty and romantic. XD; TOP, you’re a lucky man!! *shot*

7. Gossip Man (Feat. 김건모 ) – This is a good, solid song, the kind that could be a single if released, just maybe not the one that went straight to number one, you know? It is good though, particularly like G.D.’s ‘yes, I am cool!’ Lol. He’s a cutie.

8. She's Gone (Feat. KUSH) – Okay. I really don’t know what to say about this one, apart from WOW. The whole song is great, but the absolute desperation in G.D.’s voice, the begging, the apologies, the ‘saranghamnida’ in the 3rd verse just gets me right in my heart. He sounds so absolutely desperate. I love it. Makes one think of G-Dragon on his knees, and this is always a good thing. LOL.

9. Korean Dream (Feat. 태양 ) – Yay Taeyang lol!! I would have been a lot happier if it was TOP, but we can’t get everything we want. This song is another one that’s just plain good. It’s very Big Bang, in its style, if you get what I mean, but yeah. Good stuff, boys. This would be one of those ones it’d be good to see live. Like it a lot. ‘I’m Captain G. Sparrow’?? Nice, G.D. Nice.

10. The Leaders (Feat. Teddy, CL) – This song is just plain badass. Wassup, wassup, wassup, as my sister pointed out. G.D. sounds a bit scary a points in this, like, gangsta stylin, waving a 9mm in your face scary, so it’s the good kind, and CL just rocks the hell out of her rap. I will always love CL, so I may be biased, but yeah, this song would work without this Teddy dude. Sorry, bro lol. <33

So! That’s Heartbreaker! Standouts on this album in order or awesomeness; Heartbreaker, Breathe, Butterfly, Butterfly and The Leaders. Fo sho. Please keep the blonde hair until it starts to fall out from all the bleach, G.D.!! Saranghaeyo oppa!

Crown Prince Mattathiah.

2. What kind of character is it (furry, anime, etc):
He’s… a vampire royal lol.

3. What is the first thing your character would think of when he/she first wakes up?:
sex. Lol.

4. Your character's favorite outfit would be?:
He used to wear tight black things but recently he’s been into Armani suits.

5. When your character looks into a mirror, what's the first thing they would notice?:
If he’s gained or lost any weight. He has… issues with that.

6. Does your character have the same tastes in food as you?:
Lol, I don’t actually drink blood… So, no, not really.

7. How is your character similar to you?:
He loves the smell of roses, he loves gold and elaborate baroque style houses/decorating, he loves seeing people in cute outfits, he’s lazy, he loves baths… A few too many things to list, really lol. Out of my many, many characters, I think Matt is the most similar to me.

8. How is he/she different?:
Um, he’s a total pedophile?? X3;; He thinks very highly of himself (but is really a bit pathetic) , he gets LOTS of sex (lol) , he doesn’t just have one boyfriend, he’s got about 7, and that’s not including all his random partners he’s come across over the years… Lol, he’s a –vampire- … Um… Yeah, again, there are lots of things.

9. If your character could speak, would they have the same voice as you?:
No, not at all. He’s got nice, smooth American accent, with an underlying German accent. His voice isn’t super deep, it’s just… smooth. When he goes back to Germany, he always winds up with a thick German accent.

10. If you were to suddenly become your character, what do you think would be the first thing you would do as him/her?:
GO SEE SASHA OMG. Wow. Wow, I don’t even know! What a fucking party, that would be the coolest thing ever! Sex with Lughnasadh would also be top of the list. And hugging Virgo.

11. Is there something about your character that you don't like how others think of them?:
Um… Well… He’s pretty pathetic. It annoys –me- how pathetic he is half the time. He makes out he’s this big badass, then he gets put in mortal peril and immediately resorts to begging/groveling/patheticness. Lol.

12. What advantages does your character have over you?:
Super seducing powaz. And he’s well hot. And German. Where is that not an advantage?

13. What disadvantages?:
I’m not quite as pathetic as him lol. And no way near as sex obsessed.

14. Do you have any secrets relating to your character that only you know?:
One or two I think. But Zach knows pretty much everything there is to know about him.

No. If I could draw him, I’d submit it on dA, but as it is, I suck.

Matt’s been like… my major character for years now. I want to write a book, but I don’t know if it’ll ever happen. My ultimate dream is to have him in a movie. Or a tv show.

17. What misconception(s), if any, do people have about your character?:
I guess he might come across self absorbed, but that’s not really the case. He puts his boys first no matter what. All other misconceptions (i.e. he’s lazy, he’s a pedo, he’s a loser) have foundation lmao. Sorry, Matt.

18. If you could have just ONE characteristic from your character, what would it be?:
His sexiness? I don’t know. His weird power would be pretty sweet too… I’d just want all of them, I couldn’t choose just one.

19. Have you made any characters that go along with yours, based on real-life people, that have the same relationship with your character as you with the real-life person?:
No… Lol.

20. Have you written any stories about your character?:
Yeah, a few short ones, mostly he’s just the star of all my rps. XD;

21. How has your character changed since his/her first creation?:
He’s grown up a hell of a lot. He went from being a mean, badass to an extremely complicated guy who can actually be really lovely. And his clothes have improved. He’s hotter now than he was when I first developed him (as a minor character lol) .

23. Weaknesses and DRAMA
Weakness – People he loves. Sasha, Alex, Virgo, Lughnasadh. He also can’t handle thinking about his Master.
